I believe adultery should be made a civil infraction which should result in a heavy fine of around 50,000 dollars as well as bad personal record that any potential spouse can view.

Adultery needs to be banned. However I don't support drastic criminal measures which I believe is unnecessary. In the materialist society a bad record which leads to drastically lowered possibility of another marriage and a heavy fine should be enough to discourage the offense of adultery.

If you can't keep yourself from infidelity then don't get married.
