Yeah, I've heard that the incel problem in Japan is way worse than in the US and Europe. I read that a third of people under 30 in Japan have never dated at all: http://www.theguardian.com/world/2013/oct/20/young-people-japan-stopped-having-sex http://www.japancrush.com/2013/stories/30-of-single-japanese-men-have-never-dated-a-woman.html However, the situation in Japan is still different than in the US and Europe, as it is not unaccompanied by promiscuous behavior among women. I remember seeing a chart that showed that only 5% of births on Japan are to unmarried women, compared with over 40% for the US and most Western European countries. A common explanation that I've heard is that women in Japan often lose their jobs after getting married and starting a family, and women are avoiding marriage because they are choosing their careers over having a family. I've also heard that it is difficult to raise a family on a single income in Japan because the costs of living are too high. However, this does not seem to be the whole story, because even if women in Japan did not want to have kids, there is nothing preventing them from dating outside of marriage. What are your thoughts on this? Perhaps Japan is less feminist that it appears to be, the woman still uphold values of premarital chastity, and it is only a bad economy and bad workplace standards that are keeping more people from getting married? Or do you think that Japan is just as feminist or more feminist than the US? If so, why isn't "hookup culture" more prevalent in Japan? Perhaps the women in Japan are only attracted to omegas, and the men aren't choosing to behave like omegas for some reason?
