Is anyone interested in Skype meetings? My guess is no, but I figured I'd offer one last time. If no one cares about skype meetings I'll instead focus on meeting local people in Berkeley. If someone is interested though I will make the effort to host CoAlpha skype meeting.

I suffer from pretty severe and irregular fatigue so I avoid communication in real-time when I can, as well as time-specific plans and schedules.
|
John, that sounds just like me. To survive I need to talk as little as possible. As soon as I talk to someone real time I get exhausted, thirsty, and other symptoms. I have no idea what's going on, it's been like that for years. Is it some kind of poisoning or illness delivered to truth-speakers? I have always thought that I must be the only one with such symptoms but those who have them are not necessarely going to talk about them. If you have some additional info on this, please go on. real time communication, physical efforts, long walks, sports and all scheduling and deadlines - these are precisely the activities I must avoid to control, not erase the symptoms of fatigue. Been like this for around 4 years. I'm 32. |
Wow, you guys sound like complete basket cases. As stated before, my current Internet connection isn't good enough for Skype.
|
Anyone who in 2014 uses the term "basketcase" (in misuse since the 90s), and whose internet connection isn't good enough for Skype, is a basket case. That comment was unnecessary: I have physical health problems, so I should be insulted and called a basket case? Go fuck yourself, fucking moron and american. American = ultra moron, inferior being to anyone who isn't american. period. RACISM ALWAYS AMERICANS INFERIOR ALWAYS. THE WORLD ISN'T PRO AMERICA. ACCEPT IT. I love myself more than you. Accept it. I respect myself and not you. Accept it. FUCK YOU IDIOTS!!!! I don't want to talk to fucking americans ever again in my life. YOU ARE NOT GOOD ENOUGH! YOU ARE INADEQUATE AS HUMANS! now ban me and get the fuck off my face, morons. |
It is more that the spread-out rural ghetto I come from and its infrastructure is a basket case. Also my laptop is getting a bit A bit of an overreaction there. You seem somewhat highly strung. Perhaps you should not move to India or wherever. The normal hassles of expat life would likely be too much for you. |

MS20, not sure if you're still reading this, but I do have some information. You can contact me in private if you want (I'm not an American if that makes a difference), or just read the link below and see if that helps (as a starting point for further research if nothing else.)
I feel nothing being called a basket case, but I do think it's unnecessary and rude. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chronic_fatigue_syndrome |
Oh OK, I just thought it was interesting that you both seemed to suffer from the same generalized problems. It is no big deal. Earlier in the year I was something of a basket case due to a neck injury. We all suffer from problems at some point in our lives. |
I don't object to the implied seriousness of "basket case", the condition is indeed pretty serious, but it's still a pretty negative sounding term, plus I think it's commonly used for psychological conditions which this isn't. But nevermind, it was a minor objection and the only reason I mentioned it at all was to give MS20 some support even though he clearly overreacted. Maybe he had an extra bad day or something, or perhaps he's received a lot of misunderstandings and negative comments about his condition ("it's just laziness, what you need is a kick in the butt and a life goal!") making it a sensitive issue.
