Off topic, but thought I'd share.
Most artists these days are obsessed with style and concept. Or worst they think it's their job to promote political agendas. To draw simple subjects, free of political connotations in plain understandable styles, is considered below them. All modern art is designed for novelty. To quote the words of Hitler's character in the film Max, a man whom I despise albeit who saw modern art for what it was:
Oh, modern.

Landseer mostly drew animals. He even shy'ed away from drawing people. I like this because it's rare to find art that's free of agenda and purposely plain.
